KNA Healthcare Solutions believe passionately in the highest possible care for our elderly people and especially if they have dementia. These are vulnerable people who receive care for a reason whether it be a physical and/or psychological and, deserve the best that healthcare staff can offer.

Our aim is to assist and guide staff, managers and proprietors in providing and documenting a high standard of care.

KNA Healthcare Solutions has been operational as a training company since 2010, providing mandatory and any other healthcare related training within the healthcare field (NHS, private, nursing and residential homes and the community).

Through the experience, professionalism and knowledge of our team, enforcing Agencies i.e. Health and Safety Executive, Care Quality Commission and Local Health Authorities have either sought our services or have recommended our company to a variety of healthcare establishments.

If a service just requires a little assistance, our team have provided advice and guidance to numerous managers and/or proprietors, working alongside both management and the care team in general, to raise the standards of the establishment/home/service, right through to completely managing a home i.e. registering with the Care Quality Commission as an Interim Manager, especially if the home/service is in severe difficulties (facing an enforcement closure).

Our team have assisted managers/proprietors by providing Enforcing Agencies and Authority recognised documentation e.g. care plans, risk assessments, policies and procedures etc.

Our team have also assisted managers/proprietors by conducting major risk assessments i.e. Fire Risk Assessment and Health and Safety Risk Assessment, as well as general risk assessments i.e. Health and Safety, medication, food hygiene, care plans, general health and safety, environment and wound management etc.

Not only are our prices competitive, but we provide long term advice and guidance either by phone, Email or in person to managers and/or proprietors who have sought our assistance. This after care service is either free or entails only a small charge.

We can work either alongside the home manager and/or proprietor giving general guidance or, take over management of a care home entirely.

Some of the services we can provide include provision of all documentation required to meet standards and training staff to meet those standards.

Our after-assistance care and advice includes continual contact either through phone, Email or personally.


When a customer approaches us to provide a training, we discuss the requirements needed to provide the right training needed for the learners. We provide the customer/manager with a copy of the appropriate lesson plan (on request), discuss contents and length of time the training will take and the cost involved. We arrive at the venue with sufficient time to meet with the customer/manager and to set up required equipment a minimum of 30 minutes before the training is to commence. This allows for ensuring that the equipment is not faulty from transit (we both carry a secondary set of equipment) and that the customer/manager is happy with the training to proceed.
Once they have delivered the training, each learner completes a quiz for them to demonstrate that learning has occurred. The quiz papers are marked and a copy is presented to the customer/manager in order that they too can see that learning has occurred.
The certificates are produced from our main office and are either hand delivered to the customer/manager or sent by registered post.
 

Keith Slater
Founder and MD

Keith has been a specialist for numerous years, and able to deliver many mandatory trainings.

Keith particularly specialises in Manual Handling, especially with the severely burnt, elderly and bariatrics, and is often called upon by the Health and Safety Executive to assess incidents and act as an expert witness in Law Suits. 

Anne Kinsey
Project Manager

Anne is a qualified nurse of over 44 years, also holding her State Certified Midwifery certificate. Anne also holds her Dip McS certificate, updating it to the Registered Managers Award. With these certificates and experience, Anne has worked as an NVQ assessor in all levels from level 2 through to level 5 and management.

Anne has worked as a manager in Nursing and Residential Homes, each home specialising in both care of the elderly frail and dementia care.

Both Keith and Anne care passionately about the care of the elderly, and believe that providing staff with a high standard of training goes a long way to achieve this standard.

KNA Healthcare has never had to advertise the services that we provide, but have been recommended through word of mouth, reputation and recommendation from the Care Quality Commission, the Health and Safety Executive and Local County Councils.
